Other regional credits include <em>As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/em> (Connecticut Free Shakespeare), <em>Chicago<\/em> and <em>The Curse of an Aching Heart<\/em> (Hamden High School). Dance credits include 3 years of hip-hop and 1 year of tap. He is also a certified actor combatant of the British Academy of Dramatic Combat. He is very happy to be directed by her for the first time and to be taking part in THETIS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tori\u00a0Rhoades<\/strong> is delighted to be performing for Kristin on this project, and with this terrific group of performers. She recently directed <em>Romeo &amp; Juliet<\/em> for Shakespeare &amp; Company\u2019s Conservatory Program, and has directed in many different educational settings, as well as an Assistant Director and Movement Director in the professional theatre.\u00a0 Tori is a teacher of Movement and Acting in Shakespeare &amp; Company\u2019s Actor Training Program, and teaches, when time permits, for S&amp;Co\u2019s Education Program, where she first began as a director and teacher in the Fall Festival of Shakespeare.\u00a0\u00a0 She has created performing arts curricula rooted in S&amp;Co\u2019s Education teaching pedagogy, and she continues to develop teaching methodologies based upon her work at Shakespeare &amp; Company integrated with the relational psychology work of Carol Gilligan.\u00a0 Victoria\u2019s work is rooted in the ways our human relationships and creative selves are affected by cultural messages of gender, and their effects on our bodies and voices. She holds a BS in acting from Northwestern University; an MA from NYU\u2019s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, specializing in documenting Shakespeare &amp; Company\u2019s teaching methods and their impact on the emotional well-being of adolescent girls.\u00a0 She holds a PhD From NYU\u2019s School of Culture, Education and Human Development.\u00a0 Victoria originally trained as a ballet dancer many years ago; injuries halted her work as a dancer until she met choreographer and teacher, Susan Dibble, with whom she discovered a way to move with joy, yet without further injury. \u00a0She has performed for Susan Dibble on multiple occasions. As an actor, Victoria has worked in regional theatre, feature film and television commercials.
